BHU School Entrance Test (SET) - 2025

The Banaras Hindu University is going to take admission for the session 2025-26 for boys and girls in classes IX and XI in the Central Hindu boys’ School and Central Hindu girls’ School through a common entrance test. BHU School Entrance Test (SET) - 2025

Application Process: Prospective candidates must complete the SET-2025 Application Form online, as printed forms are not available.

• The application portal opened on February 20, 2025,
• and the deadline for submission is March 20, 2025.
• Applicants can make corrections to their forms between March 21 and March 27, 2025. 

The Information Bulletin and application forms are accessible on BHU's official website (www.bhu.ac.in) and the Entrance Test Portal (www.bhuonline.in).

Eligibility Criteria:

• For Class IX Admission: Candidates must have passed Class VIII from a recognized school and be between 13 to 15 years of age as of March 31, 2025 (i.e., birthdate between March 31, 2010, and March 31, 2012).
• For Class XI Admission: Candidates should be under 18 years of age as of March 31, 2025 (i.e., born on or after March 31, 2007) and must have passed Class X from a recognized board with the following minimum marks:
  • Science Stream (Maths and Biology): At least 60% aggregate, with a minimum of 50% in both Science and Mathematics.
  • Commerce Stream: At least 55% aggregate.
  • Arts Stream: Candidates must have passed Class X.

Entrance Examination Schedule: The SET-2025 will be conducted as follows:

• Class XI Arts: May 7, 2025 (Wednesday), 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
• Class XI Commerce: May 8, 2025 (Thursday), 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
• Class XI Biology: May 9, 2025 (Friday), 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
• Class XI Maths: May 10, 2025 (Saturday), 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
• Class IX: May 11, 2025 (Sunday), 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
